A coating damaged by overheating or scratching can't be restored. Build-up from oil can often be removed.
Oil build-up. A dark residue is usually carbonised oil. Clean it with a paste of baking soda and water and a soft sponge. For heavier build-up, Bar Keepers Friend® powder may be used. Choose an oil suited to the heat you're cooking at.
Overheating. Damage from overheating can't be reversed. Cook on low to medium heat, and check the product page for your pan's oven limit.
Scratches. Use silicone or wooden utensils. If the coating is flaking or peeling, stop using the pan and contact us.
