The bodies of our CXD, XD+ and HD cookware are cast aluminium. Molten aluminium is poured into a mould shaped like the finished piece, then cooled and finished. Casting produces a solid body with a flat base.
According to Swiss Diamond's manufacturing documentation, CXD bodies are cast from 100% recycled aluminium in a hydroelectric-powered facility in Sierre, Switzerland.
