Diamond crystals are part of the coatings on our CXD, XD+ and HD cookware, which are made at Swiss Diamond's facility in Sierre, Switzerland.
- CXD: a two-layer ceramic coating, made without added PFAS/PTFE: a plasma-hard base layer and a diamond-infused ceramic top layer.
- XD+ and HD: a diamond-reinforced PTFE-based nonstick coating, made without PFOA.
Where the idea came from. The original patented diamond-reinforced coating was developed in the 1990s by HORT Coating Center, a Swiss coating company founded in 1974. It received an award at the International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva in 1999.
